Artist Profile
Emily Moore has created a limited edition print entitled which taps into her personal identity as a Black British woman of Caribbean and specifically Jamaican heritage. Moore’s visual language is a nucleus of extended ideas, philosophies and lived experiences. She works with paint on canvas, yarn and weaving, installation, play and performance and her approach to all these mediums is rooted in the idea of exploration. Moore graduated with first class honours from her BA at Edinburgh College of Art in 2013. She was awarded Rise Art Painter of the Year Award in 2018 and was shortlisted for The Biscuit Factory Open Contemporary Young Artist Award in 2019 and 2020.
