KIM Booker
Artist Profile
Kim Booker has created two limited edition prints entitled ‘End of summer, 2013’ (blue and pink) which are inspired by a short story she wrote about a chance encounter
Booker is a London based painter who gained her BA at City & Guilds at London Art School in 2019. Her paintings are energetic and playful explorations of colour, form and the process of making. Booker describes her work as ‘reclaiming’ Western art history for herself, both as a painter and as a woman. “In each work I strive to achieve a certain awkwardness that arises from the conflict between an impulse for defiance and a desire for beauty”.
