Artist Profile

Olivia Strange has created two limited edition prints with Ellipsis Prints that surface the queer experience and offer an empowering image of female subjectivity in an eroticised state.

Strange completed a Master of Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art in 2016. Her wider practice spans sculpture, installation, drawing, painting, moving image and poetry. Her works are characterised by a layered narrative which explores themes of female desire, notions of the ‘exotic’ and power-play whilst probing the uneasy intersection between fantasy and reality. Strange is concerned with deconstructing oppressive patriarchal descriptors and stereotypical identities.
