Milly Peck
Artist Profile
Milly Peck has created two limited edition prints ‘Spot Effect: Entrance’ and ‘Spot Effect: Break’ that explore her interest in Foley sound effects - the recreation of everyday sounds added in post-production to film and other media. Peck employs a cartoonish style, graphically rendering images in chunky outlines, creating scenes which are often exaggerated or comical. She uses a router to carve out lines in MDF, enjoying the potential for error in this manual process. The resulting installations are playful and ambiguous, prompting us to reconsider and reimagine our understanding of things. Milly Peck received an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London (2016).
