Yulia Iosilzon’s print is based on a preparatory drawing for a painting that explores the mythological presence of the Amanita Mushroom, its magical qualities and stories around it. Yulia’s work is born from an interest in the narrative of stories anecdotally told and retold, fables proliferated and propagated. She explores notions of hedonism, escapism and fantasy through her signature use of bold colours, and free-flowing calligraphic lines, laced with layers of symbolism and repeated motifs. Her print with Ellipsis Prints connects closely in with her painting practice and is available in a limited edition of 100.
